LADY MIDNIGHT

AFRICAN WILDLIFE

ACRYLIC ON WOOD PANEL - 7" X 5" - (C)BRUCEDOCKER,2010

When I was 5 or 6 years old it was
allowed to feed the giraffes at the zoo. There was a particular
elevated vantage spot where I could stand face to face
with them and give them peanuts one at a time from
my open hand. It was cool and scary at the same time.
That enormous gray tongue would snake down and
trade that peanut for drool. (the cameleopard)
